AR and AL styles are for machining such as turning, boring and chamfering. These tools allow for a sharp ninety degree corner. Use a BL or BR if the part does not require a sharp corner
The AR tool shown here is used for turning a new diameter with the point and a bit of the side of the tool
The AL tool shown here is used for turning a new diameter with the broad side of the tool
