D style is an 80 degree included angle tool that can for O.D./I.D. chamfering, or other use. The D style is uncommon however there are some instance where this tool is the only one that will fit the space available.
The D tool shown here is shown making a gang cut of an OD and ID chamfer
The D shown here he used to machine material from the center of a cylinder
