Expansion hand reamer with straight flutes for straight holes.
These reamers have the ability to be expanded in size for situations when the exact basic diameter reamer is not available. The cutting teeth are blades that are independent from the reamer's shank. Their expansion ability goes from .006” to .015” depending on the size of the reamer. These reamers exist in both inch and metric standards and typically go from 1/4” to 1.25”.

Their spiraled flute allow them to maintain a continuous cutting action in more difficult work conditions such as reaming a hole in which a keyway has been previously cut.

Expansion Reamer and Adjustable Reamer is the same thing.
